The Backpack Program

You all know Melissa in our office.  She has joined an initiative called The Backpack Program and has invited us to help her support our community!!
 
Kids Aid provides backpacks full of food for the weekend to hungry school-age children and youths.  Food is delivered directly into the hands of the children to take home for the weekend.  Thanks to the generosity of this community, over 2,100 students every week are going to school fueled and ready to learn rather than heading out the door hungry with thoughts on when the lunch bell will ring.  
 
Backpack Items (all items are individual sizes): 
  • Canned Chicken
  • Peanut Butter (small jars)
  • Canned Tuna (5oz)
  • Canned Pasta w/Meat
  • Canned Soup
  • Ramen Noodles
  • Boxed Macaroni and Cheese
  • Cereal Bars
  • Instant Oatmeal Packets
  • Granola Bars
  • Crackers
  • Trail Mix
 
Please deliver these items by May 23rd!
 
Drop off items for the food drive at Autopaychecks located at 441 Colorado Ave in Grand Junction!
